Ground Zero Chats and Boards

When the Web first got started, threaded discussions and live chat were interesting diversions on Internet sites and corporate intranets, but little more. Now, these tools are being harnessed for many important uses, including distance learning, workgroup management, and educational collaboration.

The link below will take you to a login screen where you may register with the webboard system. Guests may also review messages, but will not have the option to post messages without registering first. The registration screen is quick and easy, and provides a way to validate our users in order to prevent unsolicited advertising on the system. From there you will be taken to a page with the current messages displayed, and the conferences available. Click on each message to view it and the associated replies.

Teen Summit 3 Boards and Chat Archive

The Florida Tobacco Control Clearinghouse provides this feature for education, information-gathering, hot topic discussion, and group collaboration. The webboard system can also send you new messages posted to the board via e-mail, for those times when web browser access is either unavailable or unwanted. By following the instructions at the bottom of the e-mail, you may also reply to the post or start a new discussion thread.

To have a new conference created, or for more specific assistance, please contact the web conference administrator at kkuehn@esp.fsu.edu.
